Punjab Government Revises Transport Policy for Senior Officers

Chief Secretary and IG Punjab can now retain three official vehicles. Engine capacities are 2800cc, 1800cc, and 4700cc. Fuel allowance is 800 liters per month for the 2800cc and 1800cc vehicles. The 4700cc vehicle has no fuel limit.

Entitlements for Grade 20–22 Officers

Grade 20–22 secretaries can use two vehicles: 2800cc and 1800cc. They receive 200 liters of petrol for personal use. Fuel for official use remains unlimited.

Previously, administrative secretaries were allowed a 1300cc vehicle with 200 liters per month. The new policy increases engine capacity and maintains adequate fuel for official duties. This ensures officers have proper transport for city and intercity travel.

Grade 19–20 special secretaries and DIGs now get 1600cc vehicles. Monthly fuel allocation is 250 liters, up from 175 liters.
